What is Microcement?
Microcement is a collective term for a range of different products, but is essentially a versatile, cement based decorative coating that creates a seamless, concrete-like finish.
We have chosen the Luna Hydroplaster system. It is a premium product that uses a unique formulation, meaning that not only is is incredible hard wearing and versatile, but unlike other systems, it is 100% waterproof at every stage. This makes is absolutely ideal for seamless flooring, wet rooms and bathrooms.
There are a range of factory colours available or you can choose your favourite paint, or even a RAL code – the options are endless.
The application usually takes 6 days as it is meticulously built up in layers (see image ‘Rock Plaster – Mesh Wall’). Each coat is diamond sanded flat so the final thickness is typically only 2-3mm in total.
